Lent has begun, the E
aster season is right around the corner, and I’m happy
to announce our next President’s Council meeting. Hope
fully you have it on your calendar already from our save
the date but if not, we’d love for you to join us for l
unch on Monday, April 7th at 12 noon downtown at Pepco?
?s Edison Place Gallery (702 8th St NW, Washington, DC 20
068).

We are very excited to say that Ted Leonsis will
be joining us. Ted is the founder, chairman, and CEO of
Monumental Sports & Entertainment, which owns and operat
es the Washington Capitals (NHL), Washington Wizards (NBA
), Washington Mystics (WNBA) and Verizon Center. He is i
nvolved in many other business endeavors and has recently
written a book called, “The Business of Happiness: 6 S
ecrets to Extraordinary Success in Work and Life”. I t
hink you will really enjoy hearing from him.

I will al
so update you on of all the great activities that have be
en keeping our programs busy and some of the wonderful ev
ents that we have been blessed with. Those of you that a
ttended our January meeting were so helpful in the discus
sion of our issues at the Kennedy school. I’m looking f
orward to hearing from you at this meeting as well. I can
’t tell you how invaluable your ideas and suggestions a
re to me.

I am really looking forward to seeing each o
f you. Because this is a lunch event, it is important th
