Hunter and Mark--Here is the paper that Cliffs Natural Resources has been s
haring with the Minnesota and Michigan Congressional delegations. The ta
conite industry is only located in these two states and is the foundation f
or the domestic U.S. iron and steel industry. It will give you a brief o
verview of the most pressing problem currently for this industry related to
EPA's ongoing rulemaking to address regional haze (visibility issues) in n
ational parks. The taconite industry is key to U.S. national security.
I would like to update both of you before the call on Thursday morning.
Let me know what works for me to give you a verbal overview of what Clif
fs would like to accomplish in the call and going forward. I am asking M
ark to join because of issues related to tribes. Best, Mary
