Dear Host Committee,
Greetings from the Global Fairness Initiative! I hope this message finds
you well. As Karen mentioned in an earlier email, my name is Aalap Shah
and I wanted to introduce myself as I will be working closely with each
of you over the coming months. We are extremely grateful and very
excited for your support and involvement in ensuring a successful 2011
Fairness Award. I wanted to personally thank you and please do not
hesitate to reach out to me directly if I can be of any assistance.
I hope each of you has had a moment to go over the Fairness Award
sponsorship package (if you have not received it - please send me an
email and I would be happy to send it along). The Host Committee is a
crucial part of helping GFI reach its goal and continue our commitment
to supporting crucial economic development programs for working poor
communities around the world.
We think this may be a good opportunity for us to schedule a conference
call to introduce each of your fellow colleagues and help get the
process started. Recognizing everyone's busy schedule, GFI was hoping we
could get 45 minutes of your time next week. Below are two suggested
times. Based on your schedule, please write back to me with the one that
works best for you.
1. Wednesday, June 29th at 3:00 pm (Washington D.C. time)
2. Thursday, June 30th at 11:30 am (Washington D.C. time)
Once we have heard back - we will circulate the option that fits most
schedules and send out the conference call details.
The AGENDA for the call is as follows:
1. Welcome and Introductions
2. Goals, Support, and Resources
3. Review Initial Corporate Contact List
** Please review the attached excel spreadsheet of possible companies we
have collected for outreach. If you have a moment before the call -
please take a look at the list and bring any suggested contacts,
comments, or suggestions (i.e. organizations not on the list) to the
call. We will walk through the list on the call.
4. Brainstorm other contacts and Strategies for outreach
5. Assignments and Next Steps
6. Conclusion
Thank you once again for your time and support. We look forward to
connecting with each of you soon. In the meantime, if I can answer any
questions or help in any way - please do not hesitate to contact me
directly at 646.299.1890 or ashah@globalfairness.org.
Warm regards,
Aalap
