Hunter,
I found your mail yesterday and it brought back beautiful souvenirs. How ar
e
you, how is the family and how is my favorite Democrat...your father. Tough
times. We are ok, becoming experts in the art of survival. Brigitte and a
young Parson School graduate started a line of Haute Couture for...dogs.
Don't laugh, I wish I could have create so much interest with ...human
clothing. They have their first show on October 10. I'll try to send you
some pictures, it's hilarious, dogs with tuxudos and evening
gowns......Wouldn't be funny that after 30 years in High fashion for men an
d
women, Brigitte become famous for .... dog wears? Ha,Ha,Ha!
Yes I am writing. My novel advances painfully but steadily. Hard to become
immersed in my dream world ( I am playing all the personages on my novel as
if it was a movie, talk to each one of my imaginary hero and try to
experience their emotions -the only way I can write) when REALITY is
knocking on the door reminding me my that even writers have to pay bills.
I
started a blog, a continuation of my "Conversations with Popov" started on
Facebook. Popov is my beautiful black cat, friend, companion and fellow
political junkie.
We are talking about current events like The Mosque, Religion, Burning the
Koran and so on. If you curious and have some time to read Popov's politica
l
opinions, click on the link
http://popov1121.wordpress.com/
A blog need lots of time and attention, all stuff I don't have in large
supply, my novel takes priority. I completed so far about one third of the
projected work.
I've been encouraged to write by Ted Putala, Chris brother, who by the way
is an extraordinary interesting man...an intellectual of this rare
specie....the dreamers.
As you probably know he is bar-tending in DC and just published his first
novel, A Hero of our times. Different, fresh, a read that lives you wanting
more....
I'm not going out much, in fact not at all. So my desire to get involved in
local politics is not very realistic in spite of my total sincerity. No one
will knock on my door asking for the honor of my participation
to.....whatever. I believe Obama is coming to Richmond on the 29th. I would
like to be able to see him, but I don't know anyone, and my "friend"
ex-Mayor
Doug Wilder, never answer his cell phone. I'ts a good guy, easy to like,
interesting and pleasant companion, but full of.....whatever politiciens an
d
old actors have in common.
This is all, It was so good to see your mail.
All the best,
pierre
